Our wedding festivities will take place in Dearborn, Michigan at the Henry Ford. For those traveling from out of town, please fly to Detroit Metro Airport (DTW). The Henry Ford is located just 15 minutes from the airport, with many hotel options in between. If you are considering staying closer to our house, look into hotel options near Ypsilanti, Michigan, still just 25 minutes from our wedding venue! We looked into options for a dedicated block of rooms, and due to the number of options in the area, we have decided against it. But, we do have some great recommendations on where to stay for you!
Options near the venue…
The Dearborn Inn – a wonderful historic option located directly across from The Henry Ford
The Henry – beautiful modern property less than 5 minutes from our wedding
Extended Stay America – right outside the doors of The Henry, 5 minutes from the Venue
DoubleTree Detroit – again just 5 minutes away and a great hotel
Quality Inn Allen Park – close by, affordable, and very nice!
Courtyard Inn by Marriott Dearborn – very nice option in the area
Options closer to us…
Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest – for those who might be in town a little bit longer and wish to stay nearer to us
Hampton Inn Ann Arbor – another option close to us, and a quick jump on the highway to the venue
Extended Stay America Ann Arbor – right near us in Ann Arbor again
If you need any other recommendations or references, just check with us, we know the area!
For those driving in locally, and when coming from your hotel, the address of the wedding is 20900 Oakwood Boulevard, Dearborn, Michigan 48124. Do not park or enter at the main gates for the Village, instead follow the signs to Eagle Gate. Past the Eagle Gate, you will be directed to parking very near to our venues. For a map of the specifics, please follow the directions to Eagle Tavern and Martha-Mary Chapel shown here.
Things to do in the area…
If you are going to have the opportunity to be in the area for more than a day or two, there are plenty of sights to see in Southeast Michigan! Here’s just a few of them:
Spend a day at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, or explore all of the historic sights in Greenfield Village
Take the Rouge Factory tour, and see where the Ford F-150 is built, right in Detroit
See one of the largest art collections in the United States, the Detroit Institute of Arts, located in Midtown Detroit
While in the city, check out Belle Isle Park. Set in the Detroit River between the US and Canada, Belle Isle is Michigan’s most visited state park, and home to the oldest aquarium in the country
Downtown Detroit is one of the best food scenes in the country right now, so check out a local restaurant. We’ve been to a few on this list, and none disappoint.
And of course, Ann Arbor is an amazing place to spend an afternoon! You can visit local shops, restaurants, and walk the campus of the University of Michigan. We live right around the corner, so we can offer plenty of recommendations if you’d like!
